Beers

Oppermann's Cork 'n' Ale offers the area's largest selection of beers from around the world.  Whether you are looking for a six pack of your favorite domestic beer, an exotic Trappist ale, or something in between, we can find something for you.  For fans of Belgian beer, we now stock beers from four of the Trappist breweries: Orval, Chimay, Westmalle, and Rochefort, as well as many other abbey ales, lambics, and witbiers.  If German beers are more your style, we offer a wide selection of German lagers, hefe-weizens, bocks, doppelbocks, and alts.  Fans of the British styles are not forgotten either, as we carry a full range of stouts, porters, pub ales, ESBs, pale ales, and IPAs, not to mention the holiday beers and old ales.

Looking for something a bit closer to home?  The Cork 'n' Ale also carries beers from many American microbreweries, as well as a large selection of fine Michigan beers, from breweries such as Bell's, Founders, New Holland, Arcadia, Stoney Creek, and Dragonmead.

Not quite sure what you want?  Looking to try something new?  Let our beer experts guide you through the world of beer.  With over 65 recognized styles of beer in the world, chances are we can find a beer style for you, no matter where your tastes may lie.

Dragonmead Final Absolution Trippel

After a long wait, Dragonmead has finally bottled their legendary Final Absolution Belgian Trippel Ale.  This potent brew (8.5% ABV) goes down easily, with banana and clove aromas from the Belgian yeast and a sweet taste from the Belgian Candi Sugar.  Be sure to try some soon!

"A beer this fine must be divine!"--Friar Firkin

Microbrew Trippels from Michigan!

Next we have a selection of excellent Belgian Trippel style ales: Final Absolution from Dragonmead, mentioned above, New Holland's Black Tulip, a drier and hoppier Trippel-now back in stock, and Sapient Trip Ale, a brand new treat from the Dark Horse Brewery in Marshall.  So as Friar Firkin says- "Don't be trippin', just get sippin'!"

Dark and Yummy Michigan Beers

Here we have a trio of fine Michigan dark beers.  First is Arcadia's classic London Porter-one of the finest porters to be found in Michigan, or anywhere else!  Next is the American Black Ale from Founders-a dark ale with the taste of a porter, but not so heavy.  Last but not least is King's Annihilator Doppel Bock-a sweet, malty, and alcoholic German style lager.
